Heavy-Duty  Engine Incentive Program

The Heavy-Duty Engine Program provides incentive funds for the differential cost associated with the reduced emission technology as compared with the cost of conventional technology.  Applicants must obtain approval and have a signed, executed contract from the Tehama County Air Pollution Control District (TCAPCD) prior to purchase and installation of an engine/engine retrofit equipment that meets specific program criteria  Any engine/engine retrofit equipment  purchased and installed prior to contract execution is ineligible.  Please note that the TCAPCD Heavy-Duty Engine Program is not a rebate program.

Eligible funding categories include heavy-duty on-road vehicles, off-road vehicles, and stationary agricultural irrigation pump engines.  Except for agricultural engines that pump irrigation water, only self-propelled vehicles are eligible for funding.  All other stationary and "mobile" engines/ retrofit equipment are ineligible.
